Aldosivi vs River Plate
Aldosivi were unlucky to register a 1-1 away stalemate at Colon in an intense match last Tuesday. This sorry campaign means El Tiburon are still into the relegation zone, trailing CA Central Cordoba (who occupy the first safe spot in that table) by one point. Striker Martin Cauteruccio is available after his transfer to San Lorenzo got cancelled.
River Plate took a little breather after a mini crisis. Last Thursday, the team beat Gimnasia LP 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Lucas Beltran in the first half. Therefore, they broke a three-match winless streak of one draw and two defeats in league action and made it 12 points in the Liga Profesional (seven behind leaders), climbing into one of the Copa Libertadores spots in the aggregate table again. El Millonario managed five points in as many matches on the road in this competition, winning one, drawing two and losing two so far.
Aldosivi has one of the worst defenses in the league with 15 goals conceded in 9 games, River attacking power is not what it used to be but they still can take advantage of bad defenses, so I expect an open game here.
