Tigre vs Platense
After their great performance in the Copa Liga Profesional (they lost the final to Boca Juniors), Tigre continue showing an irregular version in this competition. Following their 1-0 away defeat at relegation candidates Patronato last Wednesday, El Matador managed a single victory across their last eight league games, having drawn three and lost four in that spell. As a result, they accumulated only nine points in as many rounds in the Liga Profesional, which keeps them out of the continental spots in the aggregate table.
Platense continue producing a remarkable campaign in the Liga Profesional. Last Tuesday, the team showed a great display of effort to beat CA Central Cordoba 2-0 at home. Thanks to that victory, Omar De Felippe’s men remain unbeaten in this competition, having won four and drawn five to make it 17 points, which places them two behind leaders and far away the relegation places in the respective rankings. On away turf, El Calamar managed eight of those points as a product of two victories and two draws so far.
Platense are still undefeated and even though anything can happen here, I have to trust them to continue their run at these odds.
