Lanus vs Colon
Despite having taken the first lead, Lanus returned home empty-handed last Wednesday, when they ended up losing 2-1 at Atletico Tucuman. That result means the team remain on two points in three games in the Liga Profesional and, in the context of an irregular season, it also broke a seven-match unbeaten streak of two victories and five draws in league action.
Colon put an end to their 12-match winless streak of eight draws and four defeats in league action in the best possible way: they beat River Plate 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Ramon Abila in the second half. Following that victory, Julio Falcioni’s men made it five points in the Liga Profesional (they still have work to do in order to enter the fight for a continental ticket). On a sorry note, El Sabalero are on six domestic matches without a win on away turf, drawing four and losing two since beating CA Central Cordoba 2-0 in February.
Colon is clearly the best team of the two, they come from a morale boost in the win vs River and they should be able to put this poor Lanus in trouble.
