Independiente vs Huracan
Independiente are struggling at the moment. Last weekend, coach Eduardo Dominguez decided to rotate his players and the team ended up losing 1-0 away at Lanus, which extended their winless streak to five league matches (three stalemates and two losses). El Rojo earned only 13 points in as many games in this competition and will need to win at home to rule out any chances of dropping down to the bottom spot in group B. Furthermore, Independiente haven’t claimed any victories in their last five matches at their own stadium in the Copa Liga Profesional (four draws and one defeat).
Huracan keep their hope alive in the Copa Liga Profesional following their highly-celebrated 2-1 home success over Rosario Central last Monday thanks to two penalty kicks. El Globo made it three league games unbeaten (two consecutive victories and one draw) to accumulate 18 points, two behind Tigre and Aldosivi in group B, and will have to win here and wait for one of those teams to drop points in order to have a chance of advancing to the quarter-finals. El Globo have been quite irregular on the road this term, winning two, drawing two and losing two.
I’m not sure if Huracan can get the win they must get to have a chance of getting a playoff spot, but they will have to take risks so I expect an open game.
