Tigre vs Boca
Tigre are yet to secure their ticket to the Copa Liga Profesional playoffs following their 3-2 away defeat at Velez Sarsfield in round 13. El Matador are now on three league games without a win, having managed a single point in that spell. However, they continue occupying one of the qualifying spots in group B with 20 points and will advance to the quarter-finals in the event of beating Boca Juniors (they will very likely do it with a draw too). Diego Martinez’s men hold a 14-match unbeaten streak at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna, having won nine and drawn five since losing to San Martin Tucuman 1-0 in July (in the second tier).
Boca Juniors secured the second place in group B thanks to their easy 2-0 home success over newcomers Barracas Central last weekend, with striker Dario Benedetto netting a brace. El Xeneize made it 24 points in this competition after eight league matches without defeat (four victories and four draws) and they already clinched their spot in the playoffs. On away turf, Boca are on seven matches unbeaten in domestic action, winning four and drawing three since losing to Independiente in November.
Same as Aldosivi, Tigre needs to win to avoid depending on what Huracan does, and they should be able to beat a Boca that plays for nothin (they will finish 2nd in the group no matter the result here) and will for sure rest all starters.
