Cuiaba (Brazil) vs Racing Club (Argentina)
Racing Club are no longer perfect in the Copa Sudamericana following their 3-1 away defeat at Melgar FBC last Wednesday. In fact, both sides are level on six points, but the Peruvian outfit occupy the first spot in group B by goal difference. Last Saturday, La Academia drew 1-1 against Banfield at home with an alternative XI. However, they remain at the top of the group A table in the Argentine league, with 29 points in 13 games. The aforementioned slump in Peru was their only loss across the last 18 competitive matches (12 victories and five draws) and also broke a seven-match unbeaten streak of five wins and two stalemates on the road.
Racing has struggled defensively lately, Cuiaba can’t afford to lose here, so I expect at least a couple of goals.
