Lanus – Rosario Central

Lanus showed an improved version last Sunday and managed a valuable 1-1 away draw at Boca Juniors. However, the team remain occupying the bottom spot of the group B table in the Copa Liga Profesional, accumulating only seven points after eight league games without a win (four draws and four defeats since beating Barracas Central in round two). Four of those matches took place at Estadio Nestor Diaz Perez, with Lanus drawing two and losing two in that spell.

Rosario Central are finding trouble to improve. Last Friday, the team suffered a 1-0 away defeat at Aldosivi, which extended their winless streak to five league matches (one draw and four losses). El Canalla are out of the fight for a ticket to the playoffs, accumulating only eight points in ten matches in the Copa Liga Profesional. Central made it four points from 15 on offer on away turf this term as a product of one victory, one draw and three losses.

Lanus has been irregular so far this season but Rosario has been just terrible and they should have trouble against Lanus’ experienced and powerful attack of Jose Sand and Lautaro Acosta.
