Cerro Porteno secured their first point in the 2022 Copa Libertadores following their 0-0 away draw in the Paraguayan Superclasico against Olimpia at Estadio Defensores del Chaco last Tuesday. On Saturday, coach Francisco Arce picked an alternative XI that also drew 0-0 away at General Caballero. The team remain second-placed in the Torneo Apertura with 22 points from 27 on offer, trailing leaders Libertad by three.
