San Lorenzo vs Atletico Tucuman
San Lorenzo showed a disappointing version last time out and had to settle for a scoreless draw against arch-rivals Huracan at their own stadium. As a result, the team continue producing a poor campaign in the Copa Liga Profesional, accumulating six points as a product of a single win, three stalemates and three defeats. Furthermore, Pedro Troglio’s men are still winless at home this term, having drawn one and lost two so far.
Atletico Tucuman are getting worse game after game. In round seven, the team ended up losing to CA Central Cordoba 1-0 at home. It was their third consecutive defeat in the Copa Liga Profesional and, following that result, the team are bottom in group A with four points in seven matches. This terrible campaign drops them down to the 24th place of the relegation table, only four points above the drop zone, and coach Juan Manuel Azconzabal will likely leave the club in the event of not winning on Sunday. To make matters worse, El Decano are on 11 away matches without a win, with one draw and ten losses since beating Newell’s Old Boys 2-1 in August.
In a game between two terrible teams, at least San Lorenzo seems to be finding their way as they’ve managed to get 4 points in the last two games without conceding a goal, so I’m going here with a home win.
