River Plate has clinched their ticket to the 2020 Copa Libertadores following a 2-0 away win at Talleres last weekend thanks to two goals from midfielder Ignacio Fernandez. Their unbeaten run in the Superliga has been extended to ten matches, with eight victories in that spell (including the last five). Therefore, River has accumulated 45 points, leading fifth-placed Atletico Tucuman by three points and a quite superior goal difference. At home, they are on four consecutive league triumphs. El Millonario visited Internacional from Brazil in a Copa Libertadores group match in midweek, drawing 2-2.
