Colon vs Lanus
Defending champions Colon had an enjoyable debut in the Liga Profesional last Sunday, when they claimed a big 2-1 away success at River Plate in spite of having played with ten men for over 75 minutes. Eduardo Dominguez’s men are now on six league matches without defeat, having won four and drawn two in regular time. At home, El Sabalero haven’t lost any of the last eight, with three victories and five stalemates since January, when Talleres beat them 2-1.
Lanus produced a convincing debut in the Liga Profesional last Saturday, when they beat Atletico Tucuman 4-2 at home with 41-year-old striker Jose Sand netting a brace. It was El Granate’s second consecutive victory in league action to climb into fifth spot in the aggregate table, which means they would qualify for the Copa Sudamericana.
Colon will still have many missings due to covid, Lanus looked confident last week and I expect them to get something from this game.
