Independiente vs Atletico Tucuman
Independiente showed a great display of effort to earn a point following their scoreless away draw at Union Santa Fe last weekend. That result allowed them to remain occupying one of the playoff spots in group B on 17 points despite having won only one of their last six matches in league action (two draws, three defeats). Nevertheless, El Rojo are on four games without defeat at their own stadium in this competition, having grabbed ten points in that span.
Atletico Tucuman are almost out of chances of getting themselves into the fight for a ticket to the playoffs after their 3-2 home defeat against Talleres last Sunday. Following two consecutive losses in the Copa Liga Profesional, El Decano remain on 12 points in the context of an irregular campaign.
Once again Atletico plays and I have to expect goals: 10 of their last 13 games had at least 3 goals (the other 3 had 2) and this trend should continue against a good attack like Independiente’s.
