Huracan clinched the point they needed to secure their ticket to the Fase Campeonato last time out when drawing 0-0 at Gimnasia LP. Therefore, the team ended up first-placed in group 6 on 11 points, having lost only one of six matches (three victories, two draws). El Globo took six of those points at their own stadium, registering two victories and one defeat.
Independiente ended up second-placed in group 2 on 12 points thanks to a 1-0 home success over Defensa y Justicia with an alternative XI: Alan Sonora found the back of the net in the third minute of the game. El Rojo hasn’t suffered any defeats in their last eight first-division matches, registering five victories and three draws. They also took seven points from nine on offer on the road in the Copa Liga Profesional. Independiente drew 0-0 at Lanus in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana’s quarter-finals on Thursday 10, so coach Lucas Pusineri will pick an alternative XI again.
Even if Independiente has been a solid team so far, they have the Copa Sudamericana return leg in a couple of days and they will field a mixed lineup so I have to go with the hosts who have been a decent team so far.
