Copa Libertadores: Tigre vs Guarani Odds – Oct 01, 2020

Tigre wasn’t able to beat Bolivar at home as Pablo Magnin missed a penalty in stoppage time. The 1-1 draw gave them the first point in the Copa Libertadores. Therefore, fighting for the ticket to the Copa Sudamericana’s round-of-32 could be a realistic aim in the two remaining games as they will level Bolivar in the third spot in case of winning here. Tigre is winless in their last five matches in all competitions, earning only one point (three of them took place at Jose Dellagiovanna Stadium).

Guarani managed an important point last week, when drawing as group leaders Palmeiras 0-0 at home. With seven points, they only need one more to secure a ticket for the round-of-16. On Sunday, the team beat General Diaz 1-0 away to stay sitting in the fourth spot of Paraguay’s Torneo Apertura on 40 points, nine behind Cerro Porteno who have already become champions. Guarani is on six matches unbeaten in all competitions, having won four and drawn two, and they also won the last two on away turf.

Guarani seem the better side and they already beat Tigre 4-1 two weeks ago, so I’m going with them again.
