Copa Libertadores: Boca Juniors vs Libertad Odds – Sept 29, 2020

Eduardo Salvio’s strike in the 88th minute allowed Boca Juniors to take a 1-0 win away at Independiente Medellin last Thursday. Therefore, the team remain as table toppers in Group H on ten points and need a single point here to secure a ticket for the Copa Libertadores’ round-of-16. El Xeneize extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches in all competitions, having won ten and drawn two. At home, they haven’t lost any of the last nine (with seven successes and two stalemates since October 2019, when Racing Club beat them 1-0).

Libertad is facing trouble after two losses since the Copa Libertadores’ restart. Following a 2-1 defeat at Caracas last Wednesday, they dropped down to the third spot in Group H with six points (one behind their last opponents) and coach Ramon Diaz left the club. New boss Gustavo Morinigo made his debut on Sunday when the side beat Sportivo San Lorenzo 3-0 at home with an alternative XI. That stopped a three-game winless run in all competitions, during which the team managed a single point. El Gumarelo is third-placed in Paraguayan Torneo Apertura on 43 points, trailing leaders Cerro Porteno by six. Before their slump in Venezuela, Libertad had won three away games in a row.

Boca Juniors seem tough to beat at the moment and in their first home game since March they should get the 3 points without any problems.
